Miniature Air Plug Gauges
These are designed to be held in the hand and although they have a restricted measuring range they are ideal for measuring small precision bores.
Plugs up to 2,29mm/0.090in are made from solid tungsten carbide as blind bore versions only. Larger sizes are of tool steel.

S-Type Air Plug Gauges
These can be connected direct to the gauge unit or used with a Universal Adaptor Handle or 90° Adaptor. Due to their restricted measuring range, these gauges are normally made as Tolerance plugs but the Pre-size type can be made on request.
Extensions
For gauging deep holes, extensions of 25 to 375mm in 25mm steps (1in to 15in. in 1inch steps) may be fitted. Extensions for plugs below 14mm/0.55in diameter are factory fitted and must be requested when ordering (max 200mm extension).

M-Type Air Plug Gauges
Available in any of the measuring ranges described below. Unless otherwise stated they are supplied Full Scale. Complete stocks of Tool Steel blanks ensure quick delivery. Other materials or coatings and quick entry leads can be supplied to order, 3-jet plugs are available as standard on diameters exceeding 4mm/0.157in. Special designs for smaller sizes are also available. Ask for details.

L-Type Air Plug Gauges
These are made from Tool Steel or hard chrome plated and are available in both through bore and blind bore versions. It is recommended that these plugs be used on units with a measuring range of 0,1mm/0.004in.
Unless otherwise stated when ordering, 'L' type plugs will be supplied in the Full Scale version although Half Range, Tolerance or Pre-size can be supplied if required.
Quick entry leads are ground on as standard and in order to reduce weight, the larger sizes are made in a 'cruciform' shape. 3 jet plugs are available on all diameters. Gauges larger than 150mm/5.9in can be supplied to special order and are designed to suit the application.

Universal Adaptor Handle
The handle is supplied with 1,3m/4ft of flexible hose. Bayonet fittings on the handle and hose end provide a rapid and convenient means of applying gauges direct to the work.
NOTE: Flexible Hose upto 2m/6ft can be supplied to order.
90º Adaptors
These are designed to assist with the gauging of bores during machining operations. 'S' and 'M' type plugs and adaptors are used in conjunction with the Universal Adaptor Handle, while on 'L' type adaptors the 200mm/8in long hand grip is screw connected. 90º adaptors may also be used in conjunction with air rings.
Special Coatings
Standard Air Plug Gauges are made from Tool Steel which gives good wear life. It is possible to specify, at extra cost, Titanium Nitride coating, Tungsten Carbide impregnated plugs or Hard Chromium plated plugs.
